Team Canada Women’s Volleyball Nextgen Lead Coach

Based  in Richmond, British Columbia, at the TCWV Training Centre, and under the direction of the Senior Team Head Coach and the High-Performance Director, the NextGen Lead coach’s main function will be to assist the National Team Program with the respective goals of producing elite athletes and international competition excellence.

 ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• The NextGen Lead coach is to act as an identifier and developer of talent through:
• The training and preparation of the athletes in the National Excellence Program (September to December)
• The use of identification and monitoring systems for all athletes in VC’s development Pathway
  (January-March)
• The technical/tactical alignment of all coaches within TCWV’s development pathway

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
• Strong management skills
• Excellent understanding of the Canadian Sport System and its stakeholders
• Competent computer skills for communication, reporting and performance analysis
• Ability to communicate in Canada’s two official languages (English and French) is an asset
• Provincial and/or National Team experience is an asset
