 Job Description

The Albertsons Boise Open Operations Intern is responsible for assisting the team and operations tournament staff with planning and logistics for staging the event. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work well in a high- pressure environment, must display strong organizational skills, and must show a high level of oral and written communication.
Duties Include: 
  • Oversee the Tournament’s Albertsons Fan Pavilion including replenishment of product and daily maintenance of interior
  • Coordinate projected electrical, generator and cable layout necessary for all hospitality locations, media center and other locations
  • Manage local fuel vendor relationship; handling fuel tank delivery and fuel deliveries
  • Coordinate fencing plan with vendor (locations and dates) for Back of House areas, Driving Range, Generators, TV Compound and other areas with the help of the Assistant Tournament Director
  • Manage television inventory and number of video boards; coordinate delivery, setup and take down of inventory
  • Coordinate delivery, proper placement and service schedule with portable restroom vendor
  • Support Marketing team as needed with local media

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Student or recent graduate of an accredited four-year college or university or currently possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Management, Communications or comparable liberal arts majors preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States; International students must have all visas and employment authorizations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Work collaboratively with other departments such as Sponsor Relations, Sales, Marketing, and Volunteers on other projects as assigned
  • Public relations skills and ability to clearly communicate with staff, volunteers, corporate clients, club members and public
  • Must take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management, problem solving, and critical thinking
  • Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Self-discipline with schedule and time management
  • Organization, attention to detail and follow-through are crucial
  • Ability to stand for lengthy periods and to lift/move boxes of supplies potentially weighing 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work exceptionally well with others in a close team environment
  • Must be polite, courteous, and treat all guests and associates respectfully
  • Must be able to stay calm during stressful or demanding moments
  • Work extended hours; including nights and weekends leading up to and during the event
