The Project Manager will assist in the day-to-day development activities of the Shipyards mixed use development as well as future projects within the Jaguars and Iguana Investments real estate development platform.  The scope of work will include working on all aspects of development including design, entitlements, permitting, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.  The new Project Manager will report to the SVP of Real Estate & Development and interact with a small cohesive team of professionals within the Jaguars real estate department helping to move the Jaguars real estate projects forward.
 
Additional responsibilities are noted below:

  • Provide support to the real estate department for short or long term projects.  This may include undertaking tasks, working with outside consultants, and/or managing day to day activities on development projects in the following areas:
    • Planning, Design, and Permitting
      • Oversee RFP and contracting process for architects, engineers, contractors, interior design and other key project consultants
      • Represent owner in design process and assist in ensuring that the design team is focused on their task and making the necessary commitment to achieve the delivery dates, scope, and budget with a high quality work product
      • Help manage tasks associated with obtaining necessary government and league approvals, permits and entitlements
    • Construction Management
      • Oversee multiple aspects of construction and assist in managing an external team of owner’s representatives, consultants, contractors, and vendors employed by company on each project
      • Manage pricing aspects of projects, including creating realistic and comprehensive estimates and budgets and monitoring budgets through completion of project
      • Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays
    • Project Closeout and Operations Transition
      • Facilitate procurement and installation of all owner FF&E
      • Assist with project closeout including punch list monitoring, final acceptance of equipment and facilities, and compilation of all operations and maintenance manuals
    • Assist with commissioning of new venue, interfacing with hotel managers, tenants, condominium owners, etc. in opening of hotel, residences, marina, and office building

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required (preferably in real estate, construction, engineering, or design)
  • 3+ years of development related experience preferred, ideally having worked on mixed use products, or 2+ years paired with an advanced degree, such as a Master of Science in Real Estate or Construction Management
  • Strong quantitative background in development, including financial feasibility analysis, design,  permitting, construction, and project management
  • Proven entrepreneurial skills and demonstrated self-starter who takes initiative to identify what needs to be accomplished and develops and implements actionable plans to do so
  • Must possess attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrates a high level of work ethic and adaptability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, and effectively communicates fluctuations to relevant stakeholders
  • Effectively manage time, resources, and information to consistently meet or exceed deadlines, ensuring that work product and information is organized and accessible
  • Successfully communicate and collaborate with peers, managers, and customers to achieve common goals. Develop positive relationships across the organization and partner effectively with others
  • Experience working with Cities, Counties, and other permitting agencies on development projects
