Job Description
Job DescriptionWrestling Canada Lutte (WCL), the national sport governing body for Olympic style wrestling in Canada, is seeking interested and qualified individuals to serve on the Board of Directors for various terms commencing December 2023.
The Board of Directors’ primary role is to govern by providing leadership, strategic direction, and governance to WCL and its staff in pursuit of its vision and mission. The Board is elected by the membership of WCL and is ultimately accountable to the membership for competent stewardship that will ensure the long-term viability of WCL.
WCL is striving to adopt best modern governance practices in alignment with the Canadian Sport Governance Code, including the adoption of a skills-based board model that focuses on governance, strategic and policy matters.

About Wrestling Canada Lutte
The Alberta Fencing Association is looking for a strong, self-motivated leader to guide the day-to-day operations of the Organization. Hours are flexible and work can be performed remotely. Some evening and weekend hours will be required. Knowledge of the Sport of Fencing is considered an asset but not a necessity, though applicants must demonstrate a willingness to learn.Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) is the national sport governing body for Olympic style wrestling in Canada. Working in collaboration with our partners, WCL supports the development and growth of wrestling in Canada. Among its responsibilities, the association selects and prepares Canada’s teams that participate in international competitions including Continental Championships, World Championships and major multi-sport Games (ie. Olympic Games).
