The pro shop store is looking for a manager for Tulsa Ice Centers LLC to manage the team for our new WeStreet Ice Center. The facility is currently under construction at the Promenade Mall and is scheduled to open November/December 2023 and it will serve as the practice facility of the Tulsa Oilers ECHL team. The establishment will have a pro shop and merchandise store, 2 ice sheets, restaurant, arcade, concessions, gaming rooms and office space. The new community rink will serve as a public venue to the community, youth programs, adult programs and hosting events/tournaments. We are looking for an experienced hockey pro shop manager to lead the team members working in the retail shop and ensure quality service for customers as they shop for gear, merchandise and other items. The shop will be selling multiple items for ice hockey, figure skating and other related ice sports items as well as Oilers and Jr. Oilers team merchandise.

Essential Duties:
  • Lead the team servicing customers in the pro shop
  • Scheduling staff to ensure coverage
  • Assist customers in quality customer service
  • Operation and management of point-of-sale systems
  • Merchandise replenishment, restock and reorder as needed
  • Willingness to work weekends and other events in the arena
  • Clean and organize daily as needed
  • Open to learn about ice hockey, figure skating and other ice equipment as needed
  • Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis
  • Consistently demonstrate high ethical standards, good communication, and a professional appearance
  • Show quality written/oral communication – ability to speak and write clearly and concisely and be able to verbally or handwrite messages as needed
  • Proven self-motivation, job reliability, diligence and attention to detail
  • Provide outstanding customer service, work with team members, speak with vendors as they visit and follow MSRP/pricing guidelines
  • Clearly, effectively and timely communicate work issues with management
  • Create a fun, energetic environment for our customers and fans
  • Continue to gain knowledge of equipment and merchandise as needed
  • Strong visual merchandising skills and able to create presentations that draw attention from the customers
  • Communicate clear selling expectations while holding the team accountable for service, selling and excellent customer service

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail experience is required
  • Previous experience in leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
