Job Description
The Director of Operations works alongside the Vice President-level leadership to manage the day-to-day Corporate Partnership account management involving the CRM, asset creation and inventory, as well as regular evaluation of asset fulfillment and partnership deliverables. This position will play a key role in connecting both the Corporate Partnerships and New Business or Business Development teams within the Utah Jazz organization; with oversight of discovery meetings, new pitches, renewal pitches, and eventually the contract-signing and hand-off process. This Director will be responsible for crafting logistical strategies in launching new assets and constantly looking for ways to improve processes for the Corp. Partnerships team. This position will also manage interns; one intern intended for proof of performance photography and one intern to assist with day-to-day, partner fulfillment obligations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with New Business / Business Development team on all assets developed, reworked, or rebranded for future or returning clients
- Work with Account Managers and Directors to create individualized plans-of-action in order to execute and track contractual elements for each corporate partner
- Assist in creation of partnership pitch decks, renewal decks, sponsor of the night recaps, monthly Recaps, midseason recaps, annual reviews, off-season check-ins, and preseason kickoffs
- Organize and schedule internal solution, ideation and pitch production meetings with key departmental leaders and Account Managers
- Play an active role in helping to create new, innovative, and creative partnership marketing ideas that meet client and organization objections
- Work with department leaders and Account Managers to stage creative, meaningful and highly impactful pitch environments and events to present renewals or other reviews to current clients
- Oversee financial operations for the department; account receivables and payables
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent training and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in account management, partnership solutions, and/or operational strategy
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule as sports and entertainment events may require, including extended days and hours, holidays, and weekends
- Proficient in customer relationship management systems, presentation applications and Google workspace
