Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Digital product management:40%

  • Lead the building and ongoing maintenance of Golf Canada’s digital products
  • Manage backlog for future digital product enhancements
  • Manage digital product user experience, including feature set development, design, and user testing
  • Manage digital ad inventory across Golf Canada’s digital network
  • Work with agency partners to develop and optimize digital products
  • Perform web updates
  • Ensure digital products are aligned with overall strategic priorities of Golf Canada
  • Optimize user experience to unlock new growth
  • Lead fulfillment of sponsor promotional activities in the digital network

2. Planning, analysis & reporting: 30%

  • Identify opportunities, help build digital solutions and cultivate Golf Canada’s digital products
  • Continuously improve digital products by capturing and analyzing appropriate data/metrics, and insights and then acting on the information
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on product performance
  • Report on Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, and Golf Canada’s digital product usage
  • Understand and monitor digital trends

3. Collaboration 30%

  • Partner with key staff to identify vital capabilities required as well as identify potential issues
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
  • Work with marketing and communication leads to develop positioning and messaging
  • Collaborates across the marketing and communications teams to ensure the successful launch and ongoing promotion of digital products.
  • Managing digital product vendor relationships

4. Other duties: 5%

Qualifications Required

  • Post-secondary education at the university or college level in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in digital product management or similar
  • Experience working with Google Ad Manager
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress
  • Familiarity with full-stack development and experience using PHP and Laravel
  • Experience with developing and maintaining APIs
  • Experience with cloud products, and specifically AWS would be preferred
  • HTML/CSS coding experience, for both web and email clients, would be beneficial
  • Understanding of GIT version control and CI/CD processes
  • Strong project management, analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to take on tasks at all levels; an eagerness to learn; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a marketing/communications environment as well as customer service would be welcome
  • A strong desire to learn the latest technologies and practices
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and sport/golf knowledge are considered assets
