Overview of the Position
The Coordinator, Registration & Accreditation will be responsible for planning and implementing accreditation for Games Family, Media, VIPs, Volunteers, and coordinating the registration process for the 2025 Canada Games. You will work collaboratively with a team and must have strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Understanding the accreditation system and related policies and procedures;

Contributing to the plan that identifies the key equipment and supply requirements and the activities required to provide accreditation to approximately 15,000 people;

Supporting the development and implementation of the accreditation plans and timelines, ensuring effective and timely implementation;

Working cooperatively and in collaboration with the Volunteers function, related committees, and other functional areas involved in all aspects of the Games Management System and the Accreditation/Uniform Distribution Centre;

Supporting the building and assigning of volunteer shifts in the Volunteer Management System;

Troubleshooting and resolving accreditation issues in a solutions-focused, positive manner;

Supporting the Volunteer Services program, including recruitment, orientation, training, and uniform distribution as needed;

Coordinating the volunteer registration process, collecting information on volunteer skills and availability;

Collaborating with other functional areas to create and finalize the Games time volunteer needs and schedules;

Being a fully engaged team member with a goal of positive and healthy relationships in the workplace

Executing all responsibilities in a manner which is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games, and;

Fulfilling all other duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications Required

Proficiency in working with large spreadsheets and/or databases with varying complexities;

Strong writing and editing skills and attention to detail;
-
Creative, results-oriented, able to deliver on deadlines and deliverables
-
Experience with Google’s G Suite programs (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Slides, Forms and Calendar, etc.)
-
Knowledge and experience working in a not-for-profit, events, or multi-sport Games environment
-
Ability to liaise and interact with multiple partners, locally, provincially and nationally.
Other

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

Based on position requirements, flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Conditions of Employment

Office hours are 40 hours/week
