Job Description
The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, which include but are not limited to:accounts receivables, cash posting, journal entries, transaction research, month-end close, fluctuation analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must be reliable, have a keen eye for detail, exhibit a commitment to excellence, and be comfortable taking initiative.
Job Responsibilities
- Record monthly journal entries as part of the month-end close process, including revenue recognition
- Perform full cycle accounts receivable functions to include related-party invoicing, cash application, and payment research
- Ensure that balance sheet accounts are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger by researching variances, determining root causes, and making adjusting entries when applicable
- Organize, prepare, and record bank deposits related to ticketing activity
- Work closely with ticketing team by distributing payment updates and acting as primary contact for billing inquiries
- Maintain fixed assets & depreciation
- Assist with year-end audit procedures including preparation of GAAP and NFL required reports
- Develop process automation to create efficiencies within the department and organizationally
- Serve as a back-up for Accounts Payables
- Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- General Ledger Accounting experience
- Ability to self-teach and learn new processes/technologies quickly
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment (must work well under time constraints)
- Positive and professional demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members in various departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Desire to continue professional learning
- Must display strong ethical conduct
