Job Description
The University of Guelph Gryphons are currently seeking (2) part-time Certified Athletic Therapists to join our care team who are dedicated, eager to contribute, and strong communicators to serve our varsity teams and athletes. Varsity Athletic Therapists are responsible for providing therapeutic treatments and sport coverage for injury assessment, treatment and recovery including return to play supervision. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends while providing mentorship to assigned student trainers.
These are each contract positions from August 2024 to April 2025 working 20 hours weekly.
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements:
-Related Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree from an accredited institution
-Certified Athletic Therapist that has maintained status with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA)
-Possess and provide proof of current and valid Professional Liability Insurance
-Possess and provide proof of current and valid First Responder certification (or equivalent) including annual BLS CPR and AED certification
Positions Available: (2) Certified Athletic Therapists
Hourly Rate: pay band P04 minimum $39.04/hour
Term dates: Contract begins August 12, 2024 and ends April 11, 2025
