Job Description

The Team, Parade and Operations Seasonal Associate will assist in execution of team operations and hospitality for the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl (VFB) and other event operations, including the warehouse and distribution and delivery schedules. Also, this position will assist with the planning and operations of the Fiesta Bowl Parade, practice facility management, Guaranteed Rate Bowl, and support of other events foundation events.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Fiesta Bowl team, both in the office and at event locations, to ensure seamless coordination and execution in the lead-up to and throughout the duration of various events and games. This includes regular meetings and strategy sessions to align objectives, responsibilities, and timelines, and hands-on management during events to address challenges and ensure a successful outcome for all stakeholders.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Fiesta Bowl team members, college football officials, stadium management, and parade contractors. This collaboration also extends to local organizations, dedicated volunteers, corporate sponsors, vendors, and various independent contractors to ensure seamless operations and execution of events and games.
  • Oversee the organization of contact lists and documentation, ensuring meticulous data entry and record-keeping. Facilitate meeting preparations by providing materials, capturing detailed minutes, and compiling actionable follow-up items to enhance team productivity and project tracking.
  • Assist the Event Operations team on planning and execution of the Fiesta Bowl Parade including communication, marketing, signage, and float management.
  • Update and create materials for Vrbo Fiesta Bowl (VFB) guides and forms for participating teams, conferences, alumni, and guests.

Qualifications Required

  • Availability of additional hours during event periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Sport Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications), or currently pursuing such a degree.
  • Relevant experience in the sports industry and event management preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems and provide creative solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat Pro, InDesign, etc.), Smartsheet and JotForm experience helpful, but not required.
