Job Description
- Responsible for event supplies including sourcing, tendering, ordering, receiving and tracking inventory.
- Works with the CRS staff to ensure supply needs are met with a consistent approach.
- Supplies include (but are not limited to) tents, tables, chairs, trucks, cups, signage, toilets and consumables.
Logistical Planning
- Work with the venue & course teams to ensure a thorough understanding of their requirements, create the plans for staffing, supplies, truck loading and delivery & teardown schedule for each event.
- Communicate with all suppliers and provide clear instructions, schedules, maps and diagrams.
- Manage a fleet of trucks during race week, ensuring they are ordered in the correct size, for optimal dates, parked legally, mileage and fuel usage tracked, secured nightly, and delivered and picked up on schedule.
- Assist in any Operational areas as requested by the Sr. Mgr of Operations and Manager of Operations.
Warehouse Logistics
- This position will be mostly based out of our warehouse in Etobicoke with a requirement to work from the downtown Toronto office or occasionally from home as needed. During race season (March-June and Mid-August-mid November), this individual will be almost 100% based at the warehouse.
- Responsible for day-to-day warehouse operations, as well as managing inventory and deliveries.
- Planning and managing the proper storage and access of supplies and equipment.
- Developing new methods of tracking supplies, maintaining current equipment and upgrading when necessary.
- Work with the Manager of Operations to develop and maintain health & safety best practices for the warehouse, CRS staff, logistics crew, etc.

Qualifications Required
- Event Experience: 1 – 3 years (Preferred)
- Logistics/Warehouse Management: 1-3 years (Preferred)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business, Sport Management or Event Planning (Preferred but not required.)
Steps to Interview:
- First & second interviews will take place with the Manager of Operations and the Senior Manager of Operations
- First interviews can either be done remotely, using the Zoom platform or at our Warehouse in Etobicoke.
- Second interviews will be done in-person at Canada Running Series’ Etobicoke Warehouse.
