Job Description
- Solicit, negotiate, contract, fulfill, and renew private non-IronBirds events at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium.
- Develop and sell new business by setting appointments with area businesses, civic leaders, and event planners.
- Build and maintain relationships with current clientele and annual event organizers.
- Regularly assess menu of offerings and pricing for easily providing options to prospective clients.
- Facilitate relationship with food & beverage partner to ensure catering menu and fulfillment is appropriate for all events.
- Act as the direct catering manager by consulting with clients to determine desired event components such as guest count, menu selections and associated costs, venue layouts, etc.
- Assist in facilitating non-baseball events for the IronBirds, including sponsor fulfillment, movie nights, season seat member events, and other team-oriented non-game events.
- Manage the negotiation, writing, execution, and filing of all contracts.
- Plan and execute all in-house planned and operated events put on by RPB including key annual events such as Red, White, and BOOM! And Brews & Boos.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders such as Stadium Operations, Facilities, Ticketing, Catering, etc.
- Utilize all resources available at the facility to maximize events revenue.
- Maintain accurate department accounting receivables and payables records by reconciling all financial documents with accounting department on a regular basis.
- Create efficiencies by spearheading research into capital expenditures to improve our non-gameday events resources, including but not limited to, fixtures, furniture, consumables, linens, technology, or any other permanent items that can be used to create or increase profit.
- Work with the Gameday Experience Manager to schedule and manage part-time hourly event staff for the proper execution of events, while remaining within predetermined annual staffing budgets.
- Support client booked event preparation by coordinating staff and vendor needs, scheduling and conducting furniture set-ups, and managing all catering needs.
- Coordinate and contract event vendors as necessary.

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field.
- 3+ years in Events Management or other sales experience.
- Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Very strong work ethic.
- Strong detail-orientated personality and sales ability.
- Ability and commitment to non-traditional hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
