About Professional Sport
Professional sport jobs are the end game for many aspiring and current professionals.
Professional sports have a profound impact on our economy and social and cultural fabric. So when thinking about work in sports, many look here because of its allure.
Professional sport has one defining characteristic. It involves an athlete or athletes being paid to perform a sport activity or skill(s). These can be team sports such as hockey, baseball, basketball, and football. Or they can be individual sports such as tennis, golf, figure skating, or skateboarding. Also, professional sport can be sport entertainment performances such as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Finally, it includes sport events such as Wimbledon Champions, Kentucky Derby, Honda Indy (Toronto Events)... work on this.
Professional sport organizations look to improve efficiency and turn to their people to do so. There are two sides to professional sport organizations.
The player side includes player personnel, medical, training and team support, coaching staff, player education and relations, and video support staff.
