Claim This CompanyThe Montgomery Biscuits, a Minor League Baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama, serve as the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays within the Southern League. Established in Orlando, Florida, in 1973 as the Orlando Twins, they later underwent name changes as affiliations shifted to the Cubs and then the Rays before settling in Montgomery in 2004. Initially playing in Tinker Field, they later moved to Champion Stadium in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, before finding their current home in Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.
During their time in Orlando, they won three Southern League championships. In Montgomery, they achieved success, winning the Southern League championship in 2006 and 2007. The team was sold in 2017, and they competed in the Double-A South in 2021, now known as the Southern League. Their mascots include "Big Mo" and "Monty," with a notable addition of a micro-mini pot belly pig named Miss Gravy in 2014.
