The Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) is committed to advancing, nurturing, and governing the sport of lacrosse within the province of Ontario. Our core objectives, guided by our Board of Directors and dedicated staff, encompass a range of initiatives. These include organizing lacrosse programs, both recreational and competitive, catering to minors, juniors, and seniors, for both male and female players. We also diligently safeguard the collective interests of our association members, coordinate and oversee provincial championship events when applicable, and manage representative teams that participate in Lacrosse Canada's national amateur championships. Furthermore, we actively encourage participation in lacrosse, spanning from community house leagues to amateur competitive levels, and promote the values of fair play, respect, and graceful acceptance of victory or defeat. Our commitment extends to enhancing the positive image of lacrosse by offering development opportunities for players, coaches, officials, and volunteers, as well as advocating for our membership's interests at both the Lacrosse Canada and World Lacrosse levels. Organization Summary:
The Ontario Lacrosse Association proudly serves as a member association of Lacrosse Canada (LC), the governing body for lacrosse in Canada. We oversee and provide support to 66 associations competing in 13 leagues across various sectors. These sectors encompass Senior Box Lacrosse (3 Leagues), Junior Box Lacrosse (3 Leagues), Minor Box Lacrosse (1 League, 6 Divisions, 8 Zones), Men's Field Lacrosse (2 Leagues), Women's Field Lacrosse (2 Leagues), Minor Field Lacrosse (1 League), and Soft Lacrosse (1 League). Beyond our role in coordinating the operations of the sport, we offer informative resources, technical development programs, and essential supplies to individuals interested in becoming part of the thrilling world of lacrosse.
