Job Description
The position of ESL Teacher, Beloit Sky Carp, under the direction of the Manager of Education & Player Care, shall be responsible for working with a small group of Miami Marlins minor league baseball players on their English skills.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as ESL teacher for international students.
- Meet with students for English classes at Beloit Sky Carp Stadium when the team is at home, approximately 2-3 times a week.
- Lead engaging virtual English classes when the team is on the road, approximately 1-2 times per week.
- Plan and submit lesson plans on a weekly basis.
- Effectively use research-based strategies for second language acquisition and effective classroom management.
- Continually identify needs of students and allow that to guide instructional practices.
- Submit student evaluations, as requested.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Communicate and collaborate with Manager of Education & Player Care on a consistent basis.

Qualifications Required
- The candidate must be based in Beloit, Wisconsin or nearby area.
- The candidate must be available to work from April 1st, 2024 – September 15th, 2024.
- Bilingualism is required.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field.
- Certification in teaching & ESL is a plus.
- Candidate should have teaching experience.
- Experience working with young adults or athletes is preferred.
