Job Description

This position will navigate the sales process to generate new corporate partnerships with regional, national, and international companies.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute all aspects of the sales cycle to generate new corporate partnership revenue
  • Be a good teammate – make us a better organization
  • Cultivate new leads and move through the sales process through research, cold outreach, and networking
  • Develop relationships through creative means including networking events, speaking engagements and one-on-one dinners and lunches
  • Proactively solicit and follow-up on any personal sales leads under the guidelines established by Senior Director, Partnership Sales
  • Collaborate with related properties within Fenway Sports Group portfolio
  • Working with fellow department members to create and implement new ideas, inventory and opportunities that will drive incremental revenue
  • Develop and maintain proper sales and prospect reporting procedures and databases
  • Attend and contribute in weekly team meetings for Partnership Sales & Marketing and Ticketing
  • Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required
  • Work and attend required events at PPG Paints Arena, UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, and other associated venues
  • Build internal relationships
  • Represent the Penguins brand throughout the community and sports industry in a positive light
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Can demonstrate a history of generating revenue through corporate partnerships
  • Must be a good coworker / team member
  • Role is based in Pittsburgh, working in the office four days/week, with one day work-from-home.
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment generating effective solutions quickly and raising issues to management as necessary.
  • Able to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings.
  • Willingness to travel, including weekends.
