Job Description
The Field Assistant, in conjunction with the Sea Dogs coaching staff, will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment needed for road trips is specifically identified and loaded on the bus on getaway day. Additionally, the Field Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that 10 dozen baseballs are prepared and set aside at all times if the umpires run low during games. The Field Assistant must also be available to step into the occasional role of a Batboy if there is a vacancy that must be filled. (Note: When/If time permits, the Field Assistant may run errands for players and staff and may receive significant gratuities in return). The Clubhouse Attendant will also assist in loading the team for road trips and receiving them upon their return.
The ideal candidate for this position must have:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to quickly evolving situations
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Flexibility in work hours and assignment

Qualifications Required
Hours: Generally 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm will vary depending on the needs of the coaching staff, scheduled game times, and unscheduled weather delays or doubleheaders.
