POSITION SUMMARY:
The Colorado Rockies are seeking a Performance Lab/Video Assistant in Scottsdale, AZ. As a Performance Lab Assistant, you will support Performance Science staff with responsibilities related to athlete evaluation, training, and performance, along with ability to collaborate effectively with on field staff. This position reports directly to the Manager of Baseball Technology and Coordinator of Performance Science.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Â Â
- Bachelor’s Degree including, but not limited to Biomechanics, Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related fields preferred
- Experience working in the sports industry is preferred
- Experience working with baseball video, technology, and data preferred
- Extremely motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, with the desire to learn and grow.
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Club’s on-field staff and players
- Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
- Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance, while presenting a professional image and demeanor.
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
- Most of the work for this position will originate from the newly constructed Performance Lab at the Colorado Rockies spring training facility in Scottsdale, AZ
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, & nights when players and coaches are occupying the Salt River Fields complex

Qualifications Required
- Assist in day-to-day performance lab operations related to technology and data collection, processing, and analysis
- Support Performance Science staff with responsibilities related to athlete evaluation, training, and performance, along with ability to collaborate effectively with on field staff
- Capture, tag and upload video/data for Arizona-based games and practices using BATS software and Trackman
- Collect video and data from bullpens, batting practice and defensive work
- Assist in the use of other Baseball Technology (Trackman, Edgertronic, Blast Motion, PitchBase, TruMedia, etc.) and disseminate information as necessary
- Assist player development staff with various video and data related projects and requests
- Perform other duties as assigned by front office
