Job Description
The Vice President of Special Events will lead the vision and strategy for the new Nissan Stadium special event business, in addition to maintaining current stadium special events. As a critical thinker and significant contributor, this individual will play an integral role in cultivating new, private event business through strategic relationship building, securing, and executing large-scale private events with the goal of maximizing private event revenue in the new Nissan Stadium.
As a people leader within our organization, the Vice President of Special Events will invest and lead a team of individuals though continuous coaching, feedback, and support. An ideal leader within the Tennessee Titans is an effective communicator, solution-focused and a catalyst for improvement.
Responsibilities:Â
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive events sales strategies to drive revenue growth for new and returning business. This includes effective pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, etc.
- Seek out and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction while upholding E.L.I.T.E values.
- Oversee a high-performing event sales team. Provide guidance and mentorship while fostering a positive and creative team environment.
- Develop and execute effective training programs and service delivery standards to enhance the skills and capabilities of the event sales team, ensuring exceptional client experience.
- Manage and regularly evaluate budgets for Event Sales and Marketing collateral (both print and digital).
- Monitor industry trends through market research to identify competitors and opportunities for growth. Host open house style events to target specific markets on a local and regional scale.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of closing over $3 Million in annual revenue.
- Foster collaboration between sales and service teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded from initial contact to event execution. Provide innovative solutions when needed.

Qualifications Required
- Minimum 10+ years current sales experience, preferably in hospitality or an entertainment venue focused on event sales.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training preferred.
- Proven track record of successful leadership in event sales and service or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the events industry, current market trends and service delivery standards.
- Strong strategic and consultative selling skills.
- Resourceful, innovative, and forward thinking, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Expertise in financial analysis and planning, budgeting, and marketing.
