Job Description
In coordination with the CFO, and working closely with the full-time Staff Accountant, assists with the oversight of all fiscal activities, including general accounting, audit preparation and management, cash flow monitoring and reconciliation, support for A/P and A/R, and resolving accounting discrepancies.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists and helps manage annual audit including collecting, reviewing, and providing accurate documentation, as requested
- Assists with reconciliation of all accounting functions, including maintaining and closing the books
- Responsible for month end closing and financial deadlines; researches and reconciles general ledger discrepancies as needed
- Reviews, assists, and helps manage daily operational duties, including tracking financial data, invoicing, accounts payable, etc.
- Monitors cash flow, accounts and other financial transactions
- Generates and compiles financial reports as requested by internal and external stakeholders
- Identifies and elevates issues, risks and mitigations through effective analysis

Qualifications Required
- Follow GAAP accounting principals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with members of other departments
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks; attention to detail is a must
- Working knowledge of financial management software and systems
- Excellent use of MS Office products, especially MS Excel
