The Manager, Cinematography specializes in medium and longform storytelling of organizational narratives to give fans a more intimate look behind the scenes of the Baltimore Orioles both on and off the field. Reporting to the Associate Director, Cinematography, this individual will help identify and produce tentpole stories throughout the calendar year. The ideal candidate will work creatively on optimizing stories for multiplatform publishing, from digital and in-park to broadcast platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Own the production process of medium and longform videos from ideation, research, and storyboarding to editing and delivery of publish-ready content
  • Support Associate Director, Cinematography on all elements of a video shoot, including lighting, audio, set design, and filming
  • Coverage of club events, community activations, and occasional gamedays with the objective of enhancing longform stories; this position is not a social media role focused on quick turn of game highlights
  • Cultivate opportunities to stretch the bounds of community storytelling
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, and PR on strategies for promotional rollout
  • Monitor game feeds and interviews to mark key soundbites or opportunities to help enrich stories

Qualifications Required

  • Must demonstrate a passion and knack for visual storytelling and connecting with audiences across platforms
  • Superior time management capacity required to execute months-long projects
  • Must display ability to see a project through from conception to completion
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, concepting and executing cutting-edge video creative across various projects, platforms and timelines
  • Outstanding sense of aesthetic and attention to brand voice and detail
  • Excellent two-way communicator who can proactively collaborate with others and receive and implement feedback
  • Advanced in Adobe Premiere, proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and the entire Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience filming with cinema cameras (Canon and RED Digital) is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Broadcasting, or equivalent work experience
