Job Description

The Golden State Warriors are looking for a Manager, Community Relations (CR) to develop and deliver the Warriors' vision of social responsibility to the Bay Area. In this role, you will collaborate with the Community Relations team to build and grow long-lasting relationships with corporate partners while delivering community outreach activities that align with their company philosophies. This position reports to the Director, Community Relations.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams across the Warriors organization to develop and deliver cross-disciplinary programs, initiatives and campaigns that contribute to our social responsibility goals
  • Organize and deliver community relations events and activities as assigned
  • Create opportunities for corporate partners to support community relations programming and continuously improve the corporate partners’ experience and impact with their brands in the community
  • Execute, lead and manage the Warriors' and NBA’s social responsibility platforms and programs (e.g., Season of Giving, Sustainability, Back to School, Mental Health Awareness, etc.)
  • Create and maintain positive relationships throughout the year with local community organizations and partners
  • Lead, track and grow the organization’s Helping Hands Employee Volunteer Program
  • Manage Community Relations Assistant team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of community affairs, cause-marketing and/or corporate social responsibility experience; 3+ years of project/event management experience
  • Minimum 1 year of people management experience
  • Digital, social media and traditional marketing expertise
  • Exceptional personal accountability and the highest of ethical standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization and community
