 The Intern - Spring Training Community Engagement will work closely with the Director - Spring Training Business Operations and Community Engagement on day-to-day community operations at the Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training complex in Phoenix, AZ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Assist with new community engagement and build out of new initiatives and activations
  • Assist with daily office tasks including but not limited to celebration of staff birthdays, staff engagement and monitoring of break room and office supplies
  • Oversee donation request tracking and distribution
  • Oversee and assist with social media plan and postings following all rules set by MLB and MBBC
  • Act as liaison for the Grand Canyon University (CGU) learning lounge housed at the Milwaukee Brewers spring training facility. Will support drafting and monitoring learning lounge usage reports and engaging with GCU contact on additional support opportunities.
  • Assist with creating marketing materials such as flyers, calendars, and program ads
  • Assist with theme days or events during games or outside normal business hours
  • Assist in the scheduling and attendance tracking of usher event staff
  • Assist with set-up for community events, special events, concourse activations and any additional efforts and on-site partners during games
  • Assist with coordination of promotional distributions
  • Assist with tracking employee progress and distributing rewards for ushers based on the employee recognition program
  • Conduct pre-game checklists of ballpark by ensuring all required displays are in place and in the appropriate locations

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred, but not required.
  • A friendly, courteous, and tactful demeanor.
  • Problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance, ability to work all home games
  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
  • Experience with preferred but not required
