The Macon Mayhem are seeking a Director of Game Operations. As a part of the Mayhem front office staff, the Director of Game Operations will be responsible for the care and retention of accounts as well as further the efficiency and presentation of game operations. Position would start ASAP.
  • Handle accounts and the sale of season tickets, premium seats, group tickets, and other ticket offerings
  • Coordinate and execute the professional presentation of each home game along with in-game contests and events
  • Participate in grassroots events and community initiatives
  • Achieve overall ticket sales goals set
  • Manage the processing, printing and distribution of season, group, and single game tickets while also working effectively with the building ticketing office
  • Manage game operations, on-ice activities, and game day volunteers
  • Integrate sales & service staff during home games with ticket operations and gameday experiences
  • Oversee game day set-up and strike of the arena
  • Participate in all community engagement events
  • Research and create new fan experiences
  • Contribute to the overall strategies and planning of the team for theme nights, revenue generators, in-game production and entertainment, and community outreach
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Highly motivated, outgoing self-starter with strategic thinking skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional and team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and high attention to detail in goal-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of sports, sports sales and in-game entertainment are definite assets
  • A high level of professionalism, confidence, enthusiasm, and personal accountability
  • Work well in a team environment and ability to collaborate with others while also working non-traditional hours
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills along with professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage and prioritize daily efforts
  • Coachable and eager to learn
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with ticket operation systems, Ticketmaster preferred
  • Highly efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
