The San Francisco 49ers are looking for an analytical, results-oriented HR Generalist that works well independently, but enjoys being a part of a team. This position will focus on Total Rewards (benefits, compensation, and wellness), with additional responsibilities for administering leaves of absence, HR/DEI reporting, and other HR projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Employee Benefits
    • Assists with the communication and tactical execution of employee benefits and retirement programs including but not limited to, health insurance, voluntary/opt-in benefits, 401k, COBRA, PTO, and Company Holidays
    • Assist in review, audit, and process monthly billing for benefit carriers
    • Oversees benefits open enrollment process as well as new hire and QLE events
    • Develops and communicates content for 49ers Employee Wellness Programs and monthly campaigns (physical/mental/financial health)
    • Assists with monitoring compliance issues, assessing the impact of legislative changes to plans
    • Responsible for benefits documentation including but not limited to employee guides, SPDs, 5500s, policies and procedures and other communications in accordance with federal and state legislation and related deadlines
  • Compensation
    • Assists with administration of annual Merit Review Cycles
    • Maintains Compensation Management systems and enhances as needed to include defined levels, pay grades, salary bands, etc.
    • Benchmarks Benefits and Compensation programs through participation in surveys.
  • Administers leaves of absence and facilitates the interactive process as it relates to accommodation, including gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining eligibility, requesting medical certification as needed, and maintaining communication with employees.
  • Interfaces with Risk Manager to provide information for Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Runs and maintains ad hoc, weekly, and monthly HR, DEI, and benefits reports as needed.
  • Compiles and submits compliance related data and reporting.
  • Provides recommendations on process and system improvements to HRIS, Ben Admin, ACA tracking and other HR systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems and human resources applications.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills including the development of complex spreadsheets and presentations and experience preparing, documenting, and presenting narrative reports and statistical analyses.
  • Knowledge of current federal and California state labor and benefit laws and regulations.
