The Dayton Dragons are the Single-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. We have sold out every single game played at Day Air Ballpark since the team began play in April 2000. We set the all-time record for consecutive sellouts by a sports franchise with 815 games passing the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers on July 9, 2011. The current streak stands at 1,300+ consecutive games.

The Dragons are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. If hired for this position you will be assigned a sales territory and conduct face-to-face meetings about Dragons Ticket Packages and Suite Lease Partnerships with decision makers in the community. You will be responsible for making outbound sales calls (some warm, many cold), selling and servicing season tickets, suite lease partnerships, group outings, hospitality packages, and others, plus…
  • Renew season ticket and ticket package accounts from year to year
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to all clients as well as co-workers
  • Generate new business through leads lists, name collection activities, cold calls, speaking engagements, networking events, etc.
  • Maintain and service group sales contacts
  • Follow and implement all team sales programs and call scripts
  • Help develop new sales promotions
  • Assist with team sales campaigns
  • Active involvement in local Chamber of Commerce’s throughout the Dayton region
  • Hosting clients and prospects at all home games

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

You should have strong communication skills and superior customer service abilities, plus…
  • College degree
  • 3-5 years in B2B and/or ticket sales experience is preferred
  • Proven record of establishing and maintaining professional relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in basic software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Have own dependable vehicle and transportation
  • Experience with ticket systems is a plus
