Job Description
The Fireflies internship position(s) will be open to college students and recent college graduates. Interns will be required to work all home games and regular non-game day office hours. Members of the Internship Program will be exposed to all facets of a Minor League Baseball organization and will gain practical, in-depth experience from one of the positions listed below. Hardball Capital believes in hiring from within; many of our current full-time staff members began as interns with one of our clubs. All internships will be provided with a monthly stipend of $1,000.
Video Production Internship:
- Will report to directly to, and work closely with, the Video Production Manager
Non-Game Day Duties:
- Help produce content for the ballpark video board (50’ x 25’) and online media (ColumbiaFireflies.com and YouTube)
- Work closely with Video Production Manager and Promotions Manager to produce themed videoboard and social media content
- Produce videos as requested by marketing, sales teams, corporate partnerships, etc.
- Produce weekly homestand highlights videos
- Maintain Click Effects Audio library
- Responsible for uploading any updating player walk up music
- Work closely with Promotions Manager to ensure the upload of themed music
- Help with maintenance/upkeep of all video production equipment
- Be available for any special event that requires audio and/or video use
- Ability to solely run video elements of special events (Video Board, Camera Ops, etc.)
- Required to participate in stadium pre-season preparation/cleanup which may include weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
- Positive Attitude
- Ability to work in team setting or individually (both will occur)
- Good Organizational Skills
- Good Time Management Skills
