Job Description
This position will be located in the COC office in Toronto, ON at 250 Yonge St., Suite 3000. We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to three days of remote work each week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES
Project Management Office
- Inventory and alignment of projects and processes
- Create and manage the project and process inventory for the full business
- Manage the alignment of the Enterprise Operational Business Processes, ensuring the order of activities aligns with the needs of the business
- Find efficiencies for optimal time management of operational activities
- Maintain central location for company processes
- Develop and maintain cross-departmental processes that will aid in project delivery or efficiency
- Project frameworks, methodologies, standards, and reporting
- Develop and maintain project frameworks for various types of projects across the business
- Define PM standards & methodologies to be used in the business, including prioritization of projects
- Train and support the organization on methodologies and meet set PM standards
- Lead the framework to align projects with the Department and Corporate Strategy
- Lead the development of the framework for measurement of KPIs to report on Corporate goals & objectives
- Develop and manage the reporting process and ensure it is maintained across all projects
- Create dashboards & portfolio views for Senior Leadership and Director/SR Manager to easily view status of projects
- Training, templates & tools
- Create and maintain a central location for tools & templates for project management
- Develop and facilitate training on project management tools, templates and processes
- Maintain the framework of Asana
- Project Managers
- Develop a request process for Project Managers to collaborate on projects
- Develop project evaluation process
- Manage the implementation and communication of the PM requesting process
- Manage the prioritization of activities within the Business Integration & PMO group
- PMO staff
- Manage Business Integration and PMO staff
Qualifications Required
- Experience with planning and processes to facilitate improved project coordination
- Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian Sport System, ideally derived from direct experience
- Experience leading and delivering change through using innovative techniques based on strong interpersonal relationships
- Exceptional interpersonal skills contributing to a strong team environment including a willingness and capacity to operate effectively within a diverse group of individuals and organizations
- Proven experience managing a small team, enabling optimum performance and engagement
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of stakeholders, contexts and audiences
- Experience leading or implementing a PMO
- Ability to multi-task and good time management skills
- High level of autonomy
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to use Project management software tools
- Highly adaptable to learning new tools/skills
- Bilingualism (English, French) preferred
