 Job Description

  • Maintain official team rosters and assist with clearing student-athletes for practice and competition.
  • Assist with initial eligibility/admissions evaluations.
  • Assist with preparation of eligibility waivers (e.g., medical hardships).
  • Approve student-athlete promotional activities.
B.    Financial Aid, Awards and Benefits
  • Assist Director of Compliance, Financial Aid and Student Services in management and processing of athletic aid, benefits and awards.
  • Assist with processing of athletics financial aid and NLIs.
  • Coordinate the process of providing non-renewal, reduction, and cancellation of aid letters sent by the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
  • Create and maintain student-athlete financial aid records in the Student-Athlete Database and ensure batches are uploaded to Campus Solutions for processing.
  • Distribute the NCAA Special Assistance Clothing Fund based on financial need.
  • Provide processing support for the National Letter of Intent program, Summer Athletic Aid, and Scholarship Renewals.
  • Award and monitor Post-Eligibility and Medical Non-Counter Aid alongside the coaches, sport administrators, ASC, and Sports Medicine.
  • Approve awards and team entertainment provided to student-athletes. Coordinate the student-athlete complimentary admissions program.  Monitor employment of student-athletes and other student-athlete forms.
C.    Playing and Practice Seasons and Personnel 
  • Approve time management plans, playing and practice season declarations, countable athletically related activities, outside competitions, summer league participation, team travel.
  • Approve sport personnel/coaching staff limitations.
D.    Recruiting 
  • Approve institutional and non-institutional camps/clinics, including camp promotional materials and employment of student-athletes and coaches.
  • Approve local sports club involvement of coaching and non-coaching staff.
  • Approve official & unofficial visits, recruiting contacts/evaluations, etc.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of program activity and best practices.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications.
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA Division I and Pac-12 policies, rules and regulations.
