 Job Description

  • Create and implement a year-round marketing strategy for all Globall Competitions’ indoor & outdoor tournaments, including working with the relevant in-house staff to create promotional material.
  • Liaise with the Sports Facility Manager and Operations Manager to develop a yearly calendar for all indoor and outdoor tournaments at all Globall Sports Centers (Nassau & Brooklyn) and other affiliated outdoor locations.
  • Work with the Operations Manager in the procurement of tournament fields and facilities, and management of those relationships.
  • Responsible for applying, and obtaining, all necessary permits for each event.
  • Liaise with the Sales Associates on a regular basis and provide a comprehensive list of past and potential participants to ensure the sales and promotional team are up-to date with all upcoming tournaments to ensure maximum participation.
  • Lead & assist in the sales calls and communication with all potential tournament & league participants to ensure maximum participation.
  • Management and daily operation of tournaments on location.
  • Create, monitor, and make necessary adjustments to brackets and schedules.
  • Management of all club/team applications, approvals, rejections, and check in procedures ensuring all necessary documents are present for each participant.
  • Management of all invoicing, billing and payments ensuring all outstanding balances are collected.
  • Organization of vendors for all outdoor tournaments and events.
  • Ensure professional and timely communication with all enquiries and participants.
  • Organization of game officials and event staff for each tournament and event.
  • Meet and exceed all targets and budget requirements as set out in the Globall Competitions budget.
  • Create a positive tournament experience for the fans and participants, resolving any conflicts amicably.
  • Liaise with the Digital Media team to ensure appropriate social media coverage of all tournaments, and that all website information is up to date.
Youth Indoor Soccer Leagues
  • Create and implement a year-round marketing strategy for all Globall Sports Centers youth soccer leagues, including working with the relevant in-house staff to create promotional material.
  • Liaise with Globall Sports Facility Managers to book out the indoor facilities for indoor winter leagues.
  • Liaise with the Sales Associates and provide a comprehensive list of past and potential participants to ensure the sales and promotional team are up-to date with all upcoming leagues to ensure maximum participation.
  • Lead and assist in the sales calls and communication with all potential league participants to ensure maximum participation.
  • Management the daily operation of leagues within Globall Sports Centers indoor facilities.
  • Create, monitor, and make necessary adjustments to the league brackets and schedules.
  • Management of all league applications, approvals, rejections, and check in procedures ensuring all necessary documents are present for each participant.
  • Management of all invoicing, billing and payments ensuring all outstanding balances are collected.
  • Ensure professional and timely communication with all enquiries and participants.
  • Organization of game officials and event staff for each league.

Qualifications RequiredQualifications Required

  • 4-year college degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating leagues and tournaments in the sports industry (soccer preferred)
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience using Microsoft Office.
